The Challenge
60% of veteran-owned startups receive less capital than they request.
Veteran business ownership has dropped from 11% in 2014 to just 8.1% today.
Entrepreneurs with military ties often face limited access to networks and trusted capital sources.
-
Our Solution
We build bridges between military-affiliated founders and investors by:
Hosting workshops on fundraising, compliance, and financial literacy.
Connecting entrepreneurs to an investor network.
Partnering with trusted veteran mentors to create capital access pathways.
-
Impact
By 2028, the Foundation will:
Train 5,000+ military-affiliated entrepreneurs.
Facilitate $50M in early-stage funding.
Build a mentor-investor community of 1,000+ leaders.
Financial Literacy
Access to capital starts with understanding it. The CivicForge Foundation equips military-affiliated entrepreneurs with practical financial literacy skills covering compliance, tax strategies, QSBS opportunities, and investor communications. Our workshops and tool kits ensure founders can confidently manage their business finances and present a strong case to investors.
Network
Success in entrepreneurship is built on connections. We create pathways for founders to tap into a trusted network of investors, veteran-focused organizations, and peer entrepreneurs. From national demo days to local meetups, the Foundation ensures that military-affiliated business owners are never building alone.
Mentor
Every great business is guided by experience. Our mentor network pairs emerging founders with seasoned veterans of business and industry who understand both the military journey and the entrepreneurial challenge. Through one-on-one guidance, group sessions, and long-term relationships, mentorship becomes the bridge from idea to lasting enterprise.
